Welcome . . .
Empress Farm is a family farm locally owned and operated by Mike and Diane Taylor. Both Mike and Diane's grandparents were farming families. Both of Diane's grandparents had farms in Ohio.
For many years, her grandmother did organic gardening. Mike's grandparents did their farming in Buckingham County, Virginia. His grandparents also ran a general store that carried everything from farm supplies to school supplies. You could even fill up your car with gas. His grandmother canned fruits and vegetables for the family's use as well as churned butter for the family store.

Mike wanted to return to his roots and therefore went into farming, both animal husbandry and raising crops. They operate the farm on over 19 acres of beautiful farm land in King William county, Virginia.
They raise chickens, turkeys, Peking ducks and rabbits under humane conditions. There are no growth inducing hormones or antibiotics given to their animals.
The poultry and ducks are raised free-range with an abundance of land to roam on. They also receive supplemental quality protein feed to round out their nutritional needs.
The rabbits are given quality hay as well as feed to ensure optimal health and well-being.

Empress Farm carries their own line of home-style preserves, jams, jellies, relishes and pickled products, such as asparagus and bread and butter pickles.
