Empress Farm is a first generation farm owned and operated by Michael and Diane Taylor.  Both Mike and Diane's grandparents were farming families. Diane's grandparents had a farm in Ohio for many years where her grandmother did organic gardening.  Mike's grandparents did their farming in Buckingham county, Virginia. Mike's grandparents also ran a general store that carried everything from farm supplies to school supplies.  You could even fill up your car with gas!  His grandmother canned fruits and vegetables for the family use as well as churned butter for the family store.

Mike wanted to return to his roots and thus went into farming, both animal husbandry and raising crops. Empress Farm has moved to our new, larger location, still in King William County. We now operate the farm on over 19 acres of beautiful country land.   We look forward to serving you better with the added capacity.
 
Chickens, Turkeys, (Broad Breasted Whites and Heritage),  Peking Ducks, and Rabbits are raised under humane conditions. There are no growth inducing hormones or antibotics given to our animals.The poultry and ducks are all raised free-range, along with a good supplemental regimen of high quality, protein feed.

Empress Farm also carries our own line of homestyle jams, preserves, jellies, relishes and pickled products.

We believe in bringing you the best product we can at fair market prices.

We are once again open on Wednesdays at Lakeside Market.
